Special chests
Coloured chests on the maps, keys and what drops – QP-4, drone fragments and special events.
Special chests of four colours lie on the maps – blue, green, purple and gold. Each opens only with a key of the same colour (one is used up). You have to stay at the chest for a moment before it opens. Without a key collecting does not start.
Green and gold chests lie on the maps – gold ones are rarer and more common on higher maps. Blue and purple chests appear only during a special event. An opened chest reappears elsewhere on the map right away, so the number of chests on a map stays the same.
Keys
Keys drop from monsters and quests. The shop (Extra → Chest keys) sells only the green key. The blue one can be bought only during an event, the purple one only for real money and the gold one is not sold at all. Keys cannot be traded on the market.
Blue key

What chests drop
Every chest gives one thing from its table. The rare ones include:
- QP-4 – the best laser, not sold in the shop. It can drop from every chest.
- Drone fragments for Phantom-Z and Omega-X. You collect them on a bar and craft the drone from a full bar (see Drones).
- A whole drone Phantom-Z or Omega-X from the green and gold chests. You can own only one special drone of each kind – if you already have it, you get its fragments instead (up to a full bar).
- Ammo, Quantium, orbs and other gear.
Chests in the EIDOS Core have a higher chance of QP-4, drone fragments and a whole drone. The exact chances per chest are in the table.
Special events
During a special event blue and purple chests also lie on the maps and the blue key can be bought in the shop. We announce when an event runs in the news and on Discord.
